Richard Thornton

I have 25 years experience in the retail, financial and commercial arenas. My skills in learning design and consultancy have enabled me to create and deliver a range of successful learning interventions at leadership, management and graduate levels.

My last 15 years have been dedicated to the learning and development world, which means I have extensive experience of leading group and individual learning. Some of my recent clients include financial regulators, national and commercial banks, consultancy firms, an international semi-conductor manufacturer, a Formula 1 team and a Middle Eastern telecoms corporation.

I am qualified coach, focusing on executive coaching for senior colleagues, and accredited as a “PRISM” Practitioner ( neuroscience tool) and a “Strengthscope” (positive psychology tool) practitioner. These are brilliant tools that help me to interactively explore the natural talents and development needs of individuals, and teams.

Prior to establishing myself in the self employed world I worked for several “blue chip” organisations, working my way up over the years until I was working with senior leadership teams and commissioning training from outside providers.

This gives me insight into the concerns of my clients; commissioning training that makes a difference as well as being cost effective.

I am married with kids (my toughest influencing challenges!), love running, travel and learning new stuff.

Katie Botten

I have 25 years’ experience in managing and developing people in a wide range of organisations, countries and cultures. My corporate career spanned roles in HR, OD and Change Management within Insurance, Retail and Investment Banking where I led and supported teams and individuals through major organisational changes, mergers and acquisitions.

For the last 12 years I have worked in a wide variety of commercial and not for profit organisations on high profile and challenging people related projects.

I have worked across the EMEA region as well as in the UK and US for clients including Bank of England, House of Commons, Swiss Re, Dole Fresh UK, BM, Abellio, European Patent Office, HSBC, Shire, Financial Conduct Authority, GFI, Cancer Research UK, Sony Ericsson, Whitbread, GI Group, InHealth, Macmillan Publishing, GDF Suez and Jaeger.

I am particularly interested in emotional intelligence, positive psychology, impact and influence and interpersonal communication and how these can enhance relationships, performance and wellbeing at work.

I have worked with many teams using psychometric tools to help them achieve high performance through greater appreciation of individuals’ diverse talents and skills and clarification of goals, roles, values and productive habits. My signature strengths are creativity, flexibility, resilience and optimism.

I am a chartered member of the CIPD, have a first class degree in Social Psychology and a Postgraduate Diploma in HR Management. Caroline Sullivan, MA, MCIPD

My greatest professional pleasure is witnessing coaching clients and training participants have flashes of insight about their own work: how relating to stickier colleagues or clients can be that much smoother; how their days can be more productive and enjoyable; how they can give the best of themselves to their work.

Providing the structure, focus and encouragement to capture and apply these insights is a privilege. My goal is to help as many people as I can to enjoy their work as they develop their professional skills.

I have learnt lessons from working in environments as diverse as professional services and retailing: managing projects that delivered research systems across a global law firm and advising senior managers on recruitment, restructures and how to best deal with the people management challenges that they face.

Tracey Skoyles

Tracey is a commercially focused leadership, talent and career professional specialising in behavioural change and elevating the contribution of people to create organisational success. She has a strong background in finance and has held senior positions in global banks.

Tracey’s skill lies in her ability to create bespoke learning strategy and architecture with appropriate supporting content. Matt Offord

I am a leadership and professional development consultant and researcher with extensive experience in the operational and executive leadership.  I also hold an MBA in Leadership Studies and a PhD in Management.  My key contribution is my strong belief in the power of relationships to transform organisations.

After 29 years’ experience as an officer in the Royal Navy, undertaking roles as diverse as coaching Executive Leaders, advising the Navy Board and running complex nuclear dockyards, I have travelled extensively leading high-performance teams in complex, challenging and sometimes dangerous conditions.  This has led me to understand how leadership emerges from teams and is not always invested in one person.  This understanding of the complexity and power of teams caused me to look into the matter further by researching at the Doctoral level at Durham University and beyond this at Oxford University.

In order to apply my learning in a practical environment and help organisations benefit from the power of team-work, leadership and strategy; I have set up a leadership and professional development consultancy.  My work so far has included conducting research for the Institute of Leadership and Management, work as a Kaplan Licensed Faculty member in Saudi Arabia and advising social enterprise Police Now on leadership development.

I am based in Scotland and I love to walk around the hills and sea lochs in my local area.  I also love to read extensively, play the occasional game of chess and practice the Japanese martial art of Jodo (Japanese Short Staff).

 

 

Ian Chambers

An engineer by background I have undertaken a variety of operations, engineering and projects roles during a career spanning over 20 years in the Royal Navy and a further 12 years in Industry.  Having started my career as an apprentice I was privileged to spend most of my Naval time in the Submarine Service, based in and around Faslane in Scotland.  I then had an equally fulfilling second career in industry working for a series of large organisations; BAE Systems, EDF Energy and Babcock Marine, where I progressed to business unit Board level.  In every role, in each organisation I have created and led high performing, well motivated teams and focussed on business improvement and change programmes.

I have always been passionate about team and individual performance improvement, which led to a development path aimed at these aspects. Over the last five years, I have undertaken both Certificate and Diploma programmes with the Institute of Directors and a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching through Henley Business School.  I thrive on helping individuals and teams fulfil their potential by working with them to develop solutions to their own areas of concern.  It was a natural step to take this learning to a wider audience and hence I formed IC Transformations to provide business mentoring and coaching solutions.  I have worked with a range of clients from FTSE100, to third sector organisations, but I focus on supporting SMEs. I am also a business mentor with Renfrew Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Board of Trustees of Scottish Gymnastics.

Away from work I am married with three children and have a wide range of interests, but a particular love of sport, especially cricket and golf, and I enjoy music events.
